From the moment we arrived in South Africa on the outbound journey to returning back to England on Saturday, everything was just perfect.

We arrived at the Sawari Lodge during the morning of the 25th and were given such a warm welcome by the staff of the Lodge as well as Pieter the Lodge manager and his wife Lize.

The room allocated to us had the most amazing views and was spotless.

It was a pleasure to be treated like royalty, every Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner time, Pete would go around all the guests to check everything was ok and if anything needed putting right, he made sure that it was. The guide we had was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for him, and he always managed to spot animals well before any of us!

Just a few lines to say how much we enjoyed our recent Honeymoon you organised at your Sawari Lodge. The Lodge was excellent. The location was perfect, the food and service superb and the Sawari staff were very attentive.

We would also like to add the location couldn't have been better with the backdrop of the South African landscape what could be more romantic?

Our first full day at the marvellous Sawari Game Lodge was crowded with memorable birdlife encounters. From our first Golden Tailed Woodpecker, Sun Bird and Brown Snake Eagle, to the dazzling Crimson Breasted Strike. Those loafing Yellow Bill Hornbills were incredible, as was the huge Corry Bustard too. Such sightings set the tone for the rest of our tour as our notebooks positively bulged with unforgettable sightings.
